I have always had a nick name for the style of this song .   It is called { Kiddie Rock or even Bubble Gum rock } . It is a straight forward top Fortyish type rocker that was always fun to play . It always went over well live .  It is simply called  JUST A LITTLE # 2  Written by  { Caravello } in May 1980 . And recorded live in the Studio by the band called { Da Boyz }  in July 1981 . Phil takes the lead vocal on this one , as Johnny an i sing the backups .   Nice energy and good accent chords on this one . {  Just a little will do . }   Lets hear some Native American  Drums Please !!
Here is a kick ass Rocker !!!!!    Back when i was in my 20's i used to go out with a woman who would wear lots of silver jewelery . So this song was for her . It is called  SILVER LADY  Written by  { Caravello } in June 1980 . And recorded live in the studio by the 2nd Wavz Band on April 21st 1981 ..... Thats me Vinny on lead vocals , with Eve Shally and Mike Aponte on Backups .   This is the First version of this song  . their is a RnB/Funk version Called { Silver Lady # 2 } That was released on the { I Just Love That Dream lp } .....  So !  Lets get Hard Edged and kick ass .  Click Away .
Here is another Phil Tune .  It has a bit of Southern Rock and Country to it . Phil always loved bands like Thin Lizzy , and The Allman Bro's . Plus many more RnB bands .....  That would feature Two part harmoney lead lines .   He would love to share those lines with either a Second guitar , keyboard , or even electric bass .   This one features Two lead guitars played by Phil and Marty ..... The song is called  TWISTIN AND TURNIN  Written by  { Velasquez }  in Jan 1980 . And recorded live in the studio by the 2nd Wavz Band on April 21st 1981 . With Phil on Lead Vocals . Alright !  Get ready to rock out ....  This is the 3rd Version of this  Rock n Roll tune . The First appears on the {  Stripper lp } .  The song is called  ROCK IT I CAN ROLL IT # 3  Written by { Caravello & Velasquez } In Oct 1979 . And recorded live in the studio by  { Da Boyz }  in July 1981 . I am on lead vocals on this one . With Johnny on backups ....  Phil or even Eddie Sycora would sing the lead on this one .... On the day we recorded this version . It was thought that Phil would sing it . But instead he wanted to hand it over to me . I wasn't ready for it , but i gave it my best shot  . It was done in Two Takes . This is the 2nd take . Also a nice Lead Guitar solo played by Jim Carney .   So !  Click away ,  hear the count , and lets Rock out .

This one is by the Second Wavz band . And is a mid tempo Hard rocker That was a lot of fun to play  . I remember after a rehearsel session in Jan. 1981 . We talked about needing to add more rockers to our repertoire . Phil came up with Phil's Boogie . And Eve came up with this one . Which is called  BROKEN DREAMS  { Shally } Written Feb. 1981 and recorded live in the studio on April 21st 1981 .   She gave us the out line to it  . And the rest of the parts were worked out by the whole band . Thats Eve on lead vocal . It still blows me away how she was able to sing lead and play those hook notes you will hear at the same time on a old Fender Rhodes Piano . She was only 18 years old . But very talented .   yo !  Love ya Eve ..... Lets Rock on .

AH YES !!  The title cut to this lp . First off we would love to just thank everyone for the 1000's of hits this song has received since we first published this Website  ....   Their have been many 70's type progressive rock songs with changes in them  . But not quit like this one .  This one not only has changes in dynamics , but also changes on style .  You will hear  Rock ,  Lite ,  and  Country rockabilly . With a flowing rock music set jam near the end  .....  When i first started to write it , i did not plan on adding all of these parts to it . It just kind of happen that way . I would just be in different musical moods as i picked it up and put it down . That lasted for about Two weeks .  Then i called up Phil .   And he helped me to finish it off .  { It was started when the band Prism was together , and finished when the band Oasis was formed .    And it was all worth the sweat .....   So here we go !!!!   It is called STRIPPER Written by { Caravello & Velasquez } in July/August  1976 . And recorded live in the studio on Oct 11th 1979 ..... The lyrics are a highlight to a fantasy about a unsuccessful musician who goes to a burlesque show to clear his mind and meets up with a over the hill stripper named Seatrain .....  They find failure as a thing in common ,  fall in love ,  and live happily ever after . {  Nice movie Script right ?  Well you never know . Here is another cool song off of this album . I was thinking about posting a love song off of this cool lp . And i thought what about one of my fav love songs i ever wrote ..... It is called Simply YOUR LOVE  Written by { Caravello } in June 1978 . And recorded live in the studio on Oct. 11th 1979 . The lyric's explain how wonderful it is to know your true love  , loves you . and you just do not want to be away from he or her ..... The chord structure to this tune is very simple with just Two Chords on the intro and verses . Cmaj - Csus4th . And the chorus chords are > Fmaj  Fmin  Emin  Amin  Fmaj  Gmaj  done 4x . Just in case you wanted to play along at home ..... But i always loved the fact that i was able to get out 3 different melodys out of those 2 verse chords . Here !  Is a really cool slow tempo pop tune that can fit in any time period . It has a little bit of Beatles in it . As far as the vocals , bass , and drums go . But i do hear songs out there today that sound just like it . It is called  WON'T BE SAD Written by { Velasquez } in Jan.1977 . And recorded live in the studio in Oct. 11 1979 . Their was a trade if instruments on this one too .With Phil playing Ed's 12 string Washburn . And Ed playing Phil's electric Dan Armstrong .  We have always considered this one song one of Phil's best . Great simple chords to a fine melody , and inspirational lyrics . Right here is a very cool commerical new wave rocker . That was written by our guitarist at the time Gene Rizzo . He was only in Wavz For a few months . But he did leave his mark  with us .  Adding this song which is called  NEWSCASTERS Written by { Rizzo }  in the Summer of 1979 . He played and sang it live in the studio on our first Unique Studio session On Sept 28th 1979 .  . And also doing the lead and rhythm guitar parts and backup vocals on Just For You , and Life Long Model .....  On this song i guess you can say it is a true group efford . WELL !  So far since this web site was first published , we have featured Male lead vocalist singing the songs .... Here is the first tune with a Female lead vocalist . It is being sung by Wavz member Eve Shally . The song is called     NOBODY BUT YOU  Written by { Caravello } . In March 1981 . And recorded live in the studio on April 21st 1981 .... It is a commercial rocker that can fit in any time period . And it was mainly written for Eve to sing , so she would be able to step up from behind the electric piano and front the band ....  Like the song off of the Stripper LP ,  { If So Let It Be } .  It was written as Two songs put together as one .... And also composed on the bass guitar notes ,  before any guitar chords were ever put to it . This next track off of this hot lp . Has got a Boogie beat to it . At first written as a instrumental . But soon after ,  hook type lyrics were added to it . Ok ! Here is a very cool song that is the bomb .   Back in March 1981 .  Three months after John Lennon was killed .  George Harrison came out with a song called {  All those years ago } . I had figured soon many more artist who know him would write more songs about him  . As they did .   I did not know him .  I am just a fan .  But i felt like i needed to say something .  So i wrote this song on what i felt about his killer .  It is called  SUCKER'S INSANE Written by { Caravello } In March 1981 . And recorded live in the studio on April 21 1981  ....  The lyrics really do come out of anger ....  After so many years now i like to look back on this song  , and give attention to the music side of it . It is such a simple tune . Just a few chords . With a tight and slick arrangement . So lets get funky and click on this catchy track off of this very cool lp .

I guess you can say , this next one is a song of Seconds . It is the title cut of this our Second Wavz album . And also it is the Second version of this wonderful song . It is called    I JUST LOVE THAT DREAM # 2  Written by { Caravello & Velasquez } in Jan. 1977 . And recorded live in the studio on Dec. 27 1980 . The lyrics explain the life long dream of making it in music ..... While this band was together , it was for sure the big one for us . { The one we would all look forward to performing . }  And it really was a challenge .  Unlike the First version which features mostly lead Guitar . This one is a full group effort . With each one of us having a solo bit to play ..... Sometimes i am asked , out of the Hundreds of songs i have written . Which one is my all time favorite ?  I have to point to this one ..... Here is another Copy Cafe Track . All i can say is , speak about young musicians being raw ,  and i think about this recording . It's got some good energy to it . It is a song that was released off of the Joe Walsh lp called { The Smoker You Drink , The Player You Get . } > { Man i love that title } . It was released in 1973 .  The song is called  ROCKY MOUNTIAN WAY Written by { Walsh } . And here it is performed by that young New York City group called Prizm . Recorded at the same gig that { Dream on } was . I tryed to sing it a little bit different than Joe did . Mainly because he is in a league of his own . Plus ! We give it our own arrangement . Really nice slide playing by Phil here . So check this one out and boogie to this really cool but raw version . Vinny !

Here is a older Rate The Song . My My My so so so many hits . You know what ???   I  love this song too .   I have always loved how some bands from the 60s through today  , They just know how to write and record good commerical Rock Pop tunes . Bands such as > The Rascals , The Grass roots , Tommy James & The Shondels , The Rasberries , Bad Figger , Toto , Bonjovi , Match Box 20 , Dave Matthews band , Foo Fighters , 3 Doors down ,  & Nichelback . Just to name a few ....  Now i have written some myself  . Granted i haven't had the history these band have had .   But i do know how to do it . This demo track is a good example ....  The song is called   I'LL BE YOUR MIRROR Written by { caravello } in May 1989 . And recorded as a house demo in Nov. 1991 .  It for sure will be produced recorded pretty soon for release . The lyric's explain a good act of friendship .... I sing lead and backups .  And play Electric guitars and bass . Eddie Sycora plays guitars and drum sticks on a note pad ,  all to a Yamaha drum track .     I have been told by comments and emails that they think it has a country feel to it . Right now in this spot , we have ourselves a Double Encore Posting of a Rate The Song . And this very naked and raw house demo was recorded live in my home studio on Jan. 9th 2010 . If this song was to be put in a format . I guess it would be a Lite Adult Contemporary . Hell ! To me it is just a Love Balled . The Lyric's explain the will for a couple to just hang in there . All in due time , If you just work at it , all dreams will come true ..... I sang lead and played Acoustic Guitar . And Nester Sousa played egg shakers and the bongos . This song will soon be produced and recorded and mixed in with some other commerical tunes to be packaged for a EP release later this year .....
